 Profile: Dr T V Sairam, A serving bureaucrat and a writer, who has published over 300 articles and several books on music and herbs. His 4-volume book 'Home Remedies' published by Penguin Books is considered as the best seller. His pioneering publications on Indian music therapy include: 'What is Music?' (2004), 'Medicinal Music' (2004), 'Raga Therapy', (2005) 'Music Therapy: The Sacred and the Profane' (2006), and 'Self-Music Therapy'(2007). He holds three masters' degrees and a doctorate in alternative medicine. He has been giving public lecture-demonstrations on the priniciples and practises of music as a therapeutic intervention for the last few years.
